On the 11th day of the 12 Closets of Christmas, we're exploring the office closet!
The office closet gains substantial advantages from custom design. With holes in the side panels, a majority of adjustable shelving can be incorporated. In the future, these shelves could be removed, and hanging bars could be added to accommodate changing space needs or enhance resale value.
In the office closet below, we included four file drawers in the design. A file drawer is an XL drawer equipped with a file insert. Should this closet need to be repurposed for an individual, the file inserts can be removed, allowing the drawers to be used for personal items.
In the closet below, it currently functions as the wife's office with future plans to convert it into a baby's room. We installed the hanging pole in the top left section, allowing the client to easily adjust it when the time comes to transition the room.
In this office closet, we designed a cabinet for the printer and office accessories. Additionally, we incorporated overflow hanging space and installed Tag Hardware Symphony wall organizers. This was a few years ago, but the symphony wall organizer now has some amazing accessories for office spaces:
The side panels with holes make the shelves easily adjustable, making the addition of hanging poles easy later on if the room's needs change. The adjustable shelves offer flexibility as the clients can decide where to place storage bins, magazine files, and other office supplies while adjusting the shelf height as needed.
The multi-purpose office closet. The clients wanted shelving to accommodate overflow office supplies as well as excess clothing from their main closet :)
In this closet, the client requested adjustable shelving for office supplies and a file drawer at the bottom. The closet has sliding doors, so we designed it to allow the file drawer to open into the doorway.
Finally, though not a closet, these clients aimed to repurpose their formal dining room into an office. They envisioned a combination of open shelving and covered storage that could function effectively for her office needs. In the future, should they decide to revert the space to a formal dining room, either for their use or resale purposes, the shelving and storage could accommodate dining room inventory needs.
That's it for today!
